VTuber Hoshimachi Suisei Featured on the Cover of Forbes Japan 30 Under 30

VTuber Hoshimachi Suisei graces the cover of Forbes Japan 30 Under 30, proof that VTubers are now recognized in mainstream pop culture.

The name of VTubers is increasingly gaining global recognition. One such example comes from hololive Production, as Hoshimachi Suisei was officially announced as part of the prestigious Forbes Japan 30 Under 30 list for 2025!

Even more special, Suisei also appeared on the cover of the October 2025 issue of Forbes Japan. The magazine, released on August 25, 2025, includes a four-page exclusive interview with Suisei, discussing her career and what drives her to be a VTuber.

This achievement marks her as the second VTuber to make it onto the prestigious Forbes Japan 30 Under 30 list, following KAF in 2023.

Forbes releases this list annually to highlight young individuals under 30 who are deemed capable of “changing the world” through their work or innovations.

This edition of the magazine is available for purchase on Amazon Japan, with a digital version accessible on the Kindle app for ¥1,200. Unfortunately, the print edition does not yet support international shipping.

Hoshimachi Suisei is widely known not only as a VTuber but also as a talented singer. In 2025, she successfully held a solo concert at Nippon Budokan, a rare achievement for a VTuber.

Additionally, her original music video titled "Bibbidiba" became the fastest work by a VTuber to reach 100 million views on YouTube. Some of her songs have even been featured as soundtracks for the anime "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX"

Suisei’s inclusion further solidifies the shift in digital entertainment trends, where VTubers are no longer just a niche phenomenon but a recognized part of mainstream pop culture acknowledged by major global media.

With Suisei’s entry into this prestigious list, will other VTubers soon follow on the stage of international recognition? Could Indonesian VTubers like Kobo Kanaeru also grace the cover of Forbes? Let’s hope so!
